WHAT: Southern Illinois Volunteerism Conference "Lighting the Way for Service and Success"

WHERE: Holiday Inn - Conference Center - Mt. Vernon, Illinois

WHEN: October 2, 2008

WHO: Individuals who have attended this conference in the past included:

  • Nonprofit directors, staff and board members
  • Business and community leaders
  • Volunteers in public, private and nonprofit organizations
  • National Service program participants
  • Students interested in the nonprofit/voluntary sector

WHY: The Southern Illinois Volunteerism Conference (SIVC) has existed for over 11 years in various forms to provide capacity-building training opportunities to enhance the skills of volunteer leaders and managers in the public, private, and particularly nonprofit, sectors and to provide professional development workshops for volunteers themselves.

COST: Early-bird registration (RECEIVED by 9/12/08): $20.00 per person; $10.00 Reduced Student Rate.
Late/Walk-in registration (AFTER 9/12/08 or at the door): $25.00 per person; $15.00 Reduced Student Rate.
All fees include a light breakfast and networking lunch. Exhibit Hall is free to conference participants.

CEUs: Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be provided by Rend Lake College for this conference.Participants wishing to receive CEUs must indicate such on their registration form and complete required paperwork at the registration table upon check-in and check-out to the conference.
